THE VOID, FLINDERS UNIVERSIty DRAMA CENTRE
It began with a satellite. Now the night sky is heavy and whizzing and whirring, and no one has seen a real star in over a generation. Capitalism is infinite, and legacy is bought and sold. The stars have become lonely. And vengeful. Something has to change.
Starweaver is an innovative multimodal theatrical experience, grappling with humanity’s unquenchable thirst for progress and the loss of meaning that accompanies it.

It’s 2149. The night sky has been fully privatised, and the only people who can see the stars are those who can pay for it.
Following Cato, an A.I. engineer turned revolutionary, Starweaver grapples with the difficulties of overthrowing an unfair system and the thorny moral dilemmas of direct political action, diving headfirst into a world of unfettered capitalism, revolution, entropy, memory, chaos and, ultimately, hope.

STARWEAVER IS A gritty and gripping new science fiction play, brought to you by the award-winning theatre makers at madness of two.
